The Rowan Tree in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, Scotland offers an excellent choice of food at very reasonable prices. Four of us got together for Sunday Lunch. Fortunately we had not eaten breakfast the portions are generous. We had a choice of the Roast of Pork as well as the regular menu. which was varied from traditional fish and chips to home made Italian dishes.
Everything, including the plates was hot and the food was delicious, the meal was freshly cooked and tasty and the coffee very smooth. The bill for 4 including coffees came to a very reasonable £50. Service was unobtrusive, but friendly and with typical west coast humour.
The restaurant offers superb panoramic views of the River Clyde and the ferry across the water to Isle of Arran. There is good disabled access and a disabled loo on the same level. I always enjoy a visit to The Rowan Tree Restaurant. This visit was no exception.
