I had not planned a visit to London, England this month, however, it is always a pleasure to travel South to see my daughters. I prefer to take the train. It is a relaxing way to travel and takes me right into the centre of the city. So, I like to stay in a hotel that is central, that way each of my daughters can spend time with me coming from different parts of the city.
I found the suites at Go Native Monument in a very central location. It was a lovely surprise. The building is very close to the Monument underground station and near the main East Cheap thoroughfare. The only disadvantage is that, Lovat Lane, where Go Native Monument is situated, is a pedestrian street. It is quiet, but a taxi cannot pick you up from outside the premises. It will pick you up on East Cheap at the top of Lovat Lane.
I had rented a a studio apartment. it was spotlessly clean and is equipped with full kitchen facilities (including a washing machine)! Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar milk and cleaning materials are provided. The bathroom had a lovely, large shower. Toiletries, including a dental kit, are supplied. The towels are large and fluffy and warmed by the heated towel rail. The bed in the apartment is comfortable and the sitting are small but functional. There is also a dining area with a tale and chairs. This is suitable for working or eating at. Free wi-fi is available.
The staff at Go Native Monument are charming and helpful. The situation of the accommodation is perfect and the apartments are very competitively priced for the space and facilities offered. However, although reception is only manned 8am to 8pm, I would highly recommend Go Native Monument and would certainly use their apartments again.
